Fuel / Angry Son Split Single

by TheBandFormerlyKnownAsFuel

/
1.
I want to challenge, challenge myself to be more than words To stick flesh to this vision To put flesh to this vision Self indulgence It runs deep in our roots Stagnation of spirit and will My inability serves as proof Can you break it through? Can you break it through to me? These words are drowned Inaccurate and unfounded Falling from my mouth And crashing down to the ground Do you know what a word can do? Do you know what your words can do? Break through? Can you break it through? Can you break it through? Can you break it through? And you try A tongue that will not express A mentality that does not address A conscience that can not confess The fallacy in foundation Not a change in your expression Convenience is hard to break So hard to break! Can you break it through? Break. Break it through? Can you break it through? Break through to me? But I'll try The torch of function Burns deep inside I feel it burn And it reconfirms That I'm alive! And it shines It shines Let it shine

about

We shared the stages of the first part of our national tour with a great bunch of guys from Oklahoma City - Angry Son. While we were in Minneapolis, Jeff Spiegel from Skene arranged for us to go into the studio with Tim Mac, bassist from Halo of Flies. We struggled to get a decent take as we were pretty burned out. But this song tended to be the one we used to use to close out every set and always worked better live.

This single was Skene Records number 12. Again, go check out the Angry Son songs "Thrown Away" and "Suffocation".

The song also appeared on the Skene Records compilation LP - Can You Break Through?
